Crowsworn PS5 Release Date: What We Know
The Crowsworn PS5 release date is one of the most searched questions about Mongoose Rodeo's dark fantasy Metroidvania, and the honest answer is that no date has been confirmed. The official Steam listing still shows the release date as "To be announced," and console launch timing — including PS5 — has not been given a specific window.
What is confirmed is the platform plan. Crowsworn was pitched on Kickstarter as a multi-platform project, and console versions for PlayStation and Xbox are part of that announced plan. The table below separates verified facts from unconfirmed expectations.
| Topic | Status | Details |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 release date | Not announced | No year, quarter, or window published |
| PC (Steam) | Confirmed | Official store page live, listed as coming soon |
| Nintendo Switch | Planned | Included in announced console plans |
| PlayStation / Xbox | Planned | Part of multi-platform project scope |
| Development status | In development | Project remains active with official channels updating |
Video Highlights:
- Official trailer showcases the gothic world of Fearanndal
- Scythe, pistol, and Corvian Magic combat systems on display
- Interconnected Metroidvania world design
Any website listing a specific Crowsworn PS5 release date is speculating. As of October 2026, the only authoritative sources are the official Steam page, crowsworn.com, and developer announcements. Treat any exact date you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.
Platform Availability Breakdown
Crowsworn's platform situation is best understood by splitting confirmed storefront presence from broader console plans. The PC version is the only fully verified release, while console versions remain planned rather than dated.
Windows PC (Steam)
- Confirmed storefront page
- Release date listed as TBA
- Wishlist available now
Nintendo Switch
- Planned console release
- Part of Kickstarter campaign scope
- Timing not announced
PS5 / Xbox
- Planned console versions
- Included in multi-platform plans
- No store pages or dates yet
Adding Crowsworn to your Steam wishlist is the most reliable way to get notified the moment a release date is locked in. Console announcements typically follow the PC date confirmation.
Development Timeline So Far
Understanding why the PS5 date is still open requires looking at how the project has unfolded. The game's crowdfunding success established strong demand, but the scope — 120+ enemy types and 30+ boss encounters per the Steam page — means a long production cycle.
| Period | Update Type | Key Information |
|---|---|---|
| Kickstarter campaign | Crowdfunding | 19,695 backers, CA$1,258,068 raised |
| Gameplay reveal | Video presentation | Scythe, firearms, and traversal shown |
| Enemy showcase | Video presentation | Boss-scale threats and bestiary expanded |
| Steam updates | Developer announcements | Ongoing production news archive |
| 2026 status | Current | Release date still "To be announced" |
Kickstarter-funded Metroidvanias with large interconnected worlds typically take years to polish. Crowsworn's confirmed content scale — 30+ bosses and 120+ enemies — explains why neither Mongoose Rodeo nor the Steam page has committed to a launch window.
How to Track Official Release News
Rather than refreshing rumor sites, follow a simple verification routine to catch the PS5 announcement the moment it drops.
Watch the Steam News Hub
The official Steam news feed for Crowsworn publishes developer updates and will be the first major channel to carry a release date confirmation.
Wishlist on Steam
Wishlisting ensures automatic notification when the store page updates with a launch date or playable demo.
Follow Kickstarter Updates
Backer updates often reveal production milestones and platform news before general press coverage.
Check Community Channels
The Steam community hub and r/Crowsworn on Reddit aggregate official announcements quickly, but always verify against primary sources.
A release date is only official when it appears on the Steam page, crowsworn.com, or a direct Mongoose Rodeo announcement. Community posts and retailer listings are not confirmation.
Pre-Launch Preparation Checklist
While waiting for the PS5 date, use this checklist to stay ready for launch day.
Before Launch Day:
- Wishlist Crowsworn on Steam
- Watch the official gameplay trailer
